Leah Vincent grew up dancing in Utah, where she danced all throughout high school on school teams as well as studio teams, and then went on to get her Bachelor of Arts in dance at Brigham Young University. At BYU, she performed on one of their ballroom dance teams, and she studied jazz, tap, ballet, modern, and ballroom dance. Since then, she has danced all over the United States with different professionals, and has danced professionally with three different local Utah dance companies. In 2008, Leah opened up her own large dance studio that she directed for three years. During the third year, Leah founded and directed a professional dance company, Journey Dance Company, that she danced with as well.
Currently Leah is working toward an MFA in dance from Goddard College with a focus on choreography and dance production. Leah has three beautiful children and a wonderfully supportive husband who owns his own business and works from home. The Vincent family just recently moved to Irvine from Utah and are happy for the rich culture and dance scene in California. Leah has opened Encore Dance in hopes of being able to contribute her love and passion for dance and education to her students, to uplift and inspire them through dance, and provide a positive, safe, nurturing learning environment where they can express themselves and learn valuable skills. She is excited to provided them many opportunities to perform and gain their own love for dance and the arts.
